They were Walter R Wood, 42, a Jeweller born in Shrewsbury and his wife Theodoria M, (married for 21 years), aged 47 and Walter's assistant, born in Newtown, Monmouthshire, together with their daughters Ada K, single and aged 20, also an assistant, and Violet I M, single, aged 17 and a milliner, and son Clarence A B, a Schoolboy aged 10. All the children were born in Newtown, Monmouthshire,
