The 1901 and 1911 Censuses 16 Barnby Gate Newark, Nottinghamshire was inhabited by Mary Elizabeth Richards, a widow, and members of her family or Harry Beck, her son-in-law, and Joseph Reginald Beck, his son. On each occasion there was also a boarder with them, so A W Blachard was probably a boarder in the intervening period.

In the 1911 Census Albert William Blanchard (single, aged 28, born in 1883 at Lincoln Market Rasen and was a Watchmaker Shop Assistant.) was a boarder with the Vasey family, at 27 Smith St., Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.
