Description and Heritage Research Results
New Years greetings card. The stamp has been removed, however, the card is printed for a halfpenny stamp. The potage rate was raised to one penny in 1918 dating the card to that year or earlier.


The Gregory family were living at The Green Barton under Needwood Near Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, during the 1911 Census. They include;
Sydney Albert (Head, Married, aged 53, Railway Clerk, born 1858, Lancashire Colne).
Mary (Wife, Married (30 years), aged 50, Shopkeeper Grocer, born 1861, Staffordshire Branston).
Olivia Frances (Daughter, Single, aged 18, Dressmaker, born 1893, Staffordshire Burton on Trent).
Amy Margaret (Daughter, Single, aged 15, Assisting In Shop Grocer, born 1896, Staffordshire Burton on Trent).
Ernest Horace (Son, aged 11, School, born 1900, Staffordshire Barton U Needwood).
Edgar Harold (Son, aged 9, born 1902, Staffordshire Barton U Needwood).

The 1911 census shows only 8 entries for Jesse Earp and only one in Stafforshire at Old Hall, Walton on Trent.
The Earp family included;
Herbert (Head, Married, aged 38, Farm Labourer, born 1873, Walton on Trent Derbyshire).
Catherine, Wife, Married (17 years), aged 35, born 1876, Stapenhill Derbyshire).
Jessie (Daughter, aged 13, born 1898, Walton on Trent Derbyshire).
Mary Selina (Daughter, aged 9, School, born 1902, Walton on Trent Derbyshire).
Herbert (Son, aged 6, School, born 1905, Walton on Trent Derbyshire).
John William (Son, aged 3, born 1908, Walton on Trent Derbyshire).
Millicent (Daughter, aged 1, born 1910, Walton on Trent Derbyshire).
