JOHN DISLEY (b. 1845) originally came from Berriew, Montgomeryshire, but by 1881 was Clerk to the Aberllyfeni Slate Quarry at Corris. His wife SUSANNA JONES (of Wentnor, Shropshire), and their children, Mary Cecilia (1871-89), Herbert Henry (1872-1954), Sarah 'Annie' (1876), who married Evan Jones in 1896, William Edward (1877-1905), who married an Anne Jane, and Martha Jane Disley (1879).
